Mr.Off-White Virgil Abloh take his talents to Louis Vuitton.

“This ain’t know light ting” Congrats to Virgil Abloh on being announced the new Men’s Artistic Director for Louis Vuitton. It was also announced his first show will take place in June for Men’s Fashion Week in Paris. I waited on postings this cause I wanted see the industry reaction. Not to say I expected them to talk down on the choice to pick Virgil but more on being the first black designer ever to be chosen to work as the head of one of the major luxury heritage house. There’s has only been two so far, Olivier Rousteing, the creative director of Balmain, and Ozwald Boateng in 2003 to 2007 when he was the head of Givenchy menswear.

Now it not just France’s fashoin industry but also the whole Europe and U.S. fashion industry that seem to be behind with diversity through there brand. So though we haven’t seen much from the new collaboration with Virgil and Louis Vuitton, I hope as a culture we can use this as another platform to show are talents to the massive and even maybe create something new for the next generation. Please leave a comment on how you feel Or did you even Know how not diverse the fashion industry is? Speak your mind and stay OHSO my friends.
